No, this is a diskless enclosure. You'll need to fit your own M.2 NVMe SSD (not SATA), up to 8TB capacity.
Do I need any tools to install my SSD?
No. The TB406Pro uses a tool-free, 3-second installation design, no screws or screwdriver required.
Will I get the full 2805 MB/s speed with any SSD?
The 2805/2734 MB/s figures were tested using a Samsung 980 Pro. Actual speed depends on the specific SSD you install, your computer's own USB4/Thunderbolt port, cable, and system performance.
Is it compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 Macs and PCs?
Yes. The enclosure supports Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 and USB4 hosts, with backward compatibility down to USB 3.2/3.1/3.0.
Will a thick SSD with a factory heatsink fit inside?
Some SSDs with tall integrated heatsinks may not fit inside the enclosure. Acasis reserves the right to replace or upgrade internal components; check your drive's heatsink height against the enclosure's internal clearance before fitting.
