Not sure which Thunderbolt dock is right for you?

Choosing a Thunderbolt dock doesn’t have to be complicated. Start with what you need from your setup.

Everyday Use

If you mainly need a single connection for your display, charging, USB accessories and Ethernet, a general-purpose Thunderbolt dock is usually the best place to start.

High-Speed Networking

Working with a NAS, server or shared storage? Look for a dock with 10GbE or dual 10GbE networking for faster transfers across your local network.

Storage + Dock

Some Thunderbolt docks include an NVMe SSD slot, allowing you to add fast working storage directly to your dock. It’s a convenient way to combine connectivity and storage while keeping your desk tidy.

Maximum Connectivity

If you use multiple displays, external storage, card readers, USB devices and other peripherals, choose a dock with a higher port count so everything can remain connected to one central hub.
