Most KVM switches hand you a box and then leave you to find the cables yourself. The Lindy 42345 doesn't. The HDMI and USB cables are built right in - 1.2 metres each, permanently attached, ready to connect. Pull it out of the box, plug both ends into your two computers, and you're done. No cable hunting, no compatibility guessing, no fiddling around the back of your desk.
It's a genuinely tidy solution for a two-machine setup. One keyboard, one mouse, one monitor - switch between both computers with a button press, a keyboard hotkey, or the included software. The 4K60 HDMI output keeps the picture sharp throughout, with full 4:4:4 colour and HDR support, so there's no quality trade-off for the convenience.
Audio is included too. The front panel 3.5mm ports handle headphones, speakers and a microphone, and they switch along with everything else. There's also USB 2.0 hub support, so you can share peripherals across both machines without needing a separate hub.

Note: Software and hotkey switching are not compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina due to a 32-bit software incompatibility. Button switching works on all supported operating systems. Compatible with DisplayPort or Mini-DisplayPort computers via a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.

Product Q&A
Q: Do I need to buy any cables separately?
A: No. The Lindy 42345 has integrated 1.2m HDMI and USB cables built directly into the unit - one set per computer port. Everything you need to connect two computers is already attached. Just plug in and go.
Q: How do I switch between the two computers?
A: Three ways: press the button on the front panel (with the 1.5m button cable), use keyboard hotkeys, or use the included switching software. All three methods work on Windows. Note that software and hotkey switching are not compatible with macOS 10.15.
Q: Does this KVM switch need a power supply?
A: No. The Lindy 42345 is USB powered and draws power directly from your computers. There is no external power supply needed and none is included in the box.
Q: Does it work with Mac?
A: Yes, with one caveat. The button switching works on all operating systems including macOS. However, software control and hotkey switching are not compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina specifically, due to a 32-bit software limitation. All other macOS versions are fully supported.
Q: Can I connect speakers, headphones and a microphone?
A: Yes. There are two 3.5mm audio ports on the unit for headphones or speakers and a microphone. These switch together with the video and USB when you change computers.
