It accepts 6G-SDI input up to 4096x2160 at 30fps and encodes it as high-quality NDI, with SDI loop-through so your original signal chain stays intact while the stream goes out.
Setup is genuinely simple. Connect SDI in, plug in Ethernet (with PoE support so a single cable can power the unit), and it appears immediately as an NDI source on your network. The included WebUI, Magewell Control Hub, and HTTP APIs give you full remote control, while native Crestron and Q-SYS plugins mean it drops straight into existing AV control systems without custom integration work. On-board PTZ control (VISCA, PELCO-P/D) and a shared tally light input round it out for professional broadcast and conferencing setups.

Q: Does it need a separate power supply, or can it run on PoE?
A: Both are supported. You can power it with the included power adapter, or run a single Ethernet cable from a PoE (IEEE 802.3af) switch or injector for combined power and network in one connection, ideal for rack-mounted or remote camera setups.
Q: Can I still monitor the SDI source locally while it's streaming over NDI?
A: Yes. The SDI loop-through output passes the original signal onward to your existing production chain at full quality, completely independent of the NDI stream being sent out over the network.
