Built with raised tactile indicators next to every rear port and finished in materials that include recycled ocean-bound plastic, it is designed to work reliably for as many people as possible while cutting down on desk clutter. How many monitors can this dock support?
Up to two external 4K monitors at 60Hz when the host device has a USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 port. If your device only has a standard USB-C port without USB4/Thunderbolt 4, the dock supports one 4K monitor at 60Hz.
Does this work with Mac and non-Surface laptops?
Yes. Any laptop or desktop with a USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 port, including MacBooks, will work with the dock. Non-Surface devices without USB4/Thunderbolt 4 can still use it over standard USB-C, with reduced display and charging capability.
How much charging power does the dock provide?
Up to 96W of power pass-through to your connected laptop, delivered over the same cable used for data and display. Actual charging speed depends on your device's power requirements.
Do the USB-C ports on the dock charge connected devices?
The USB-C ports are designed for data and display, not for charging power-hungry devices. They do not output more than 15W, so they won't fast-charge a laptop plugged into them.
Is a power supply included?
Yes. The dock ships with its own 165W power supply, so it does not draw all its power from your laptop.
