The Jupiter Mini is available in 20TB, 40TB, 80TB, 100TB and 120TB, using enterprise-class Toshiba or Seagate drives depending on capacity. All capacities share the same chassis, processor, RAM, and networking hardware.
Do I need IT experience to set up and run the Jupiter Mini?
No. The Jupiter Mini arrives pre-configured with drives installed and RAID already set up. TrueNAS SCALE handles data integrity checks automatically in the background, and the dashboard can be accessed from any browser on macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS or Android.
Can I access my Jupiter Mini remotely, outside the office?
Yes. The Jupiter Mini supports remote access through services such as OpenVPN, ZeroTier, or standard firewall port-forwarding, so your team can reach shared files from anywhere.
What happens if a hard drive fails?
The Jupiter Mini uses ZFS RAID, an enterprise-grade file system that keeps your data available even if a drive fails. Drive bays are hot-swappable, so a failed drive can be replaced without shutting the system down, and ZFS automatically repopulates the data onto the new drive.
Can multiple people access the Jupiter Mini at the same time?
