It's diskless, so you provide your own SATA drives, and it ships without an OS pre-installed until you run through QNAP's setup wizard on first boot.

Does this come with hard drives included?
No, the TS-673A-8G is a diskless NAS enclosure. You'll need to supply your own 3.5" or 2.5" SATA drives for the 6 bays.
Can I use the M.2 slots as regular storage bays?
No, the two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 3 slots on this model are for SSD cache acceleration only. They are not usable as primary storage volumes.
Does it have 10GbE networking built in?
Not out of the box. It ships with two 2.5GbE RJ45 ports, but has two PCIe Gen 3 x4 slots so you can add a 5GbE or 10GbE card later if you need faster networking.
How much RAM can this NAS take?
It ships with 8GB of DDR4 installed and supports up to 64GB across its two SODIMM slots, which is plenty of headroom for virtualization or container workloads.
What operating systems does it support?
The TS-673A-8G supports both QNAP's QTS and QuTS hero operating systems, so you can choose standard EXT4-based storage or ZFS-based storage with end-to-end data integrity checking.
