Can I use the MoveMic Two with my camera?
Yes. The MoveMic Receiver mounts to your camera's cold shoe or hot shoe and connects via the 3.5mm output to your camera's microphone input. It is compatible with cameras from Sony, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Fujifilm, Blackmagic, and others. For connection to a Nikon Z6ii or similar, simply plug the 3.5mm output of the receiver into the camera's mic input.
Does it work with smartphones?
Yes — the MoveMic lavaliers can connect directly to iOS and Android smartphones using the MOTIV Video or Audio app, without needing the receiver. For use with third-party apps on mobile, or for camera/computer recording, the MoveMic Receiver is recommended for full compatibility.
How long does the battery last?
Each MoveMic lavalier mic offers 8 hours of battery life per charge. The charging case stores two additional full charges, giving you up to 24 hours of total use per mic before you need to plug the case into power via USB-C.
Is the MV-TWO-KIT-Z6 the right variant for me?
The Z6 variant is the standard two-channel kit with receiver. It includes two MoveMic wireless lavalier mics and the MoveMic Receiver. This is the recommended kit for camera and computer recording as well as direct-to-phone use via the MOTIV app.
Is there any audible latency?
Latency to the 3.5mm output is 15.33ms without noise reduction, and 17.33ms with noise reduction enabled. At 60fps, this is within one video frame — generally imperceptible in normal use. USB latency is host-device dependent.
