Plug the Echo 5 into your laptop and everything else follows — Thunderbolt drives, NVMe enclosures, displays, USB hubs, audio interfaces, whatever you have. Disconnect one cable when you leave, reconnect one cable when you return. The Echo 5 handles power delivery at the same time, so you're also charging your laptop while you work. No separate charger needed at your desk.
Display Support That Scales With Your Setup
The Echo 5 supports up to one 8K @ 240Hz display, two 5K displays, or two Apple Pro Display XDRs — depending on your computer's GPU capabilities. M1/M2/M3/M4 base Mac models support one display; M-Pro, M-Max, M-Ultra, and Intel Thunderbolt 3 Macs support two. Thunderbolt and USB-C monitors connect directly; for HDMI or DisplayPort screens you'll need a Thunderbolt-compatible adapter (sold separately). Peripheral Ports That Actually Deliver Power
The three Thunderbolt 4 peripheral ports provide 15W each — enough to power even the most demanding bus-powered Thunderbolt devices, and fast enough to charge an iPhone or iPad twice as quickly as the USB-A port. The front USB-A port runs at 10Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2) with 7.5W charging, keeping your everyday USB devices connected and topped up.

How many displays can I connect to the Echo 5?
It depends on your computer. M1/M2/M3/M4 base Mac models (non-Pro, non-Max) support one external display through the Echo 5. M-Pro, M-Max, M-Ultra, and Intel Thunderbolt 3 Macs support two displays — up to two 5K or two Apple Pro Display XDRs, or up to one 8K. Windows Thunderbolt 4 computers also support two displays. How much power does it deliver to my laptop?
Up to 85W via the host Thunderbolt 4 port. For most MacBooks and thin-and-light Windows laptops, that's enough to charge at full speed or maintain charge under load. Note that the Echo 5's Smart Power Controller prioritises power to connected devices — if you have multiple peripherals drawing power simultaneously, available charging wattage may vary. When your laptop is sleeping, the hub will charge it to 100%.
Is this compatible with Thunderbolt 3 Macs?
Yes — Intel Macs with Thunderbolt 3 ports are fully compatible. You'll need macOS 14 or later. Thunderbolt 4 is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3, so all your existing Thunderbolt 3 devices and cables work too. Note: Thunderbolt 3 Windows computers are not supported — only Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 5, and USB4 Windows machines work with the Echo 5.
Can I daisy-chain other Thunderbolt devices from it?
Yes. The three Thunderbolt 4 peripheral ports each support daisy-chaining — you can connect up to 5 Thunderbolt devices in total from a single host port. Each peripheral port also supports Thunderbolt 5 devices (operating at Thunderbolt 4 speeds), USB4, USB 3/2/1.1, and Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C monitors directly.
What cable does it come with, and does cable length matter?
The Echo 5 includes a 0.8m Thunderbolt 4 cable. Cable length matters with Thunderbolt 4: the hub supports 100W cables up to 0.8m at 40Gbps. 60W cables and cables of 1.0m or longer at 40Gbps are not supported for host connection.
